The missions efforts at Central encompass what it truly means to love like God loves. We work in partnership with missionaries and organization both locally and globally to combat the hurt of humanity. Whether it be hunger, homelessness, school supply needs, or children and family crisis’ we want to serve people of all nations with generosity and love.
Local mission is the way our church serves the real needs of individuals in our community. Through partnerships with local agencies and our own initiatives we advance the Love of God here at home.
Wyomina Park Elementary is one of the local schools right in our community. Central partners with the school in a variety of ways. During the school year, Central hosts an after school club where kids can be mentored. In August, we put on a large back to school event called Jumpstart. Jumpstart is a day event where families come to the school, get school supplies, meet their teachers and have a whole lot of fun!
Every day, Women’s Pregnancy Center receives calls and visits from women who fear an unplanned pregnancy. Our goal is to provide every client with the best possible care and support, while sharing accurate information about the life she is carrying. We want to empower each woman to make an informed decision about her body, her unborn child and her future. We offer help and hope while sharing the love of Christ in both word and deed.
Currently over 3,400 weekly school-related Good News Clubs are held across the nation, reaching more than 119,000 students each week. Central meets on campus after school to provide opportunity for children in the public schools to hear the Gospel and learn truth from God’s Word.
North Florida Christian Camp began as a dream in 1964. People from 4 Christian Churches saw the need for a camp in the North Florida area-Daytona Christian, Northshore Christian, Englewood Christian and Live Oak Christian Churches were the roots of NFCC.
North Florida Christian Camp is a great place to bring just about any size group. We have great facilities for building up leadership as well as just having a youth, men’s, or women’s retreat. With events from our ropes course and zip line, to just paddling around and fishing on our lake, there is something for everyone.
Since 1893, Johnson University has been a leader in Christian higher education. Today the Johnson University System holds accreditation by SACSCOC and ABHE and offers more than 70 bachelor’s, master’s, Ph.D., and associate’s programs across three campuses – in East Tennessee, Central Florida, and online. Each campus reflects the University’s mission to equip individuals for Christian ministries and other strategic vocations to extend the kingdom of God.
Foundational to Johnson University is the principle of affordable tuition for every student. This is made possible in part through the financial support of donors who embrace the mission of the university and the importance of affordable programs from an accredited institution to train Christians for leadership roles in business, nonprofit and ministry settings.
In the fall of 2012, Brad Zachritz was challenged to step out on faith and explore the concept of planting a church. As Brad and his wife, Abby, began praying over the calling, God began to place a passion for residents of Gainesville, Florida on their hearts.
The concept was to open a different kind of church in Gainesville. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment that allows real people to engage and interact with each other. Armed with culturally relevant and practical messages to guide their everyday lives, they want people to maximize their potential and use their gifts to benefit others in our community. They aim to stretch and challenge people to have a personal relationship with God. We want to change the way people view church and ultimately God.
The Christian Campus House is a College Student Ministry in Gainesville. Our greatest desire is to turn our focus primarily on our ministry to our students to provide opportunities for Christian fellowship, service, worship and study; encourage the students to develop a sense of responsibility to Christ and His church, to their campus, and to the world; assist students in their personal ministry of evangelism and their development toward leadership, in Christ and in the world; and assist those students outside of Christ to accept Him as their personal Savior.

Pinehaven is a residential, year-round program aimed at providing a stable, controlled, secure environment in which young people can reach the potential that God has placed within them.
To meet the needs of our young people even better, Pinehaven Christian School was started in 1984. What started in a basement with 12 students is now a dedicated facility capable of handling 100.
Abortion is a terrible problem in our society; but rather than just talking about it, Pinehaven has a program designed to give young, unwed mothers an alternative.
Pinehaven is established on a foundation of Scriptural faith. “Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.” (Psalm 127:1) In the security and warmth of a true family environment, young people go to church, worship God, participate in family devotions, and much more.
