My name is Charlene Hunt and I was born in Brooksville, Florida. I grew up all over the place, coming and going. I came from a broken family, and I mainly grew up with my dad. I left home when I was 14 and a family adopted me as a foster child. I left to go in the military after I got out of high school. I got into horses when I got out of the military. I’ve been all over the country. I’ve lived in three different countries. I wound up in California, and I wanted to come back to Florida. It took me a little while, but I finally came back. I came back with my two boys, Aidan and Ismael. They’re four and six years old. I registered Aidan for Wyomina Park Elementary School to go into kindergarten, and we were lucky enough to make the Jumpstart event.

I found out that Central Christian Church sponsored it, so the next day, Sunday, we were here at church, and it was great. I just kind of fell into the community here. Everybody’s so welcoming, so helpful. I did some Bible study and decided to get baptized. It’s wonderful because I’ve just been so blessed. God does things because he knows he has put people in my path. I’ve been able to call on them for support and prayer and they call on me, so I can give back. God blesses you and this has allowed me to give back also. I’m very happy to be here.
