We have partnered with Compassion Alliance in the past, and will be doing so again
in an effort to help in the relief and restoration of Haiti.
Here is an example of what has been, and is still being done:
Compassion Alliance
-has a team on the ground with six more arriving in the coming days.
-has delivered 500,000 hygiene kits.
-has 750,000 pounds (20 truckloads) on the way.
-are the lead agency to distribute aide in partnership with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines - in Labadee, Haiti.
-are now preparing 1,000 temporary shelters and sending another 1,000 tents..
-have already delivered medicine and medical supplies, and have 2 more truckloads en route.
This is what is still needed for this effort to continue:
-a big need is to purchase 2 small box trucks - $20,000 USD. There is a donor willing to fly them over on a large airplane to ensure distribution of things we are sending.
-continue to procure/gather anything for small children & infants, 40% of the Haitian population is under the age of 14, with many being orphaned.
-help build the Children's Village this spring.

Examples of individual items needed would include
-hygiene products
-shoes
-wipes
-diapers
Prayer is their biggest asset; please pray for the Haitian community, the numerous volunteers, the service effort, and for the love of Christ to be evident.
There is much to be done; none of which is possible without the support of others. If you are able to help in any of these areas, please bring your items to the church office. A donation can be made by indicating "Haiti Relief" on an offering envelope (please make a check out to Central Christian Church).
